COLUMBUS, O, Jan. 24.—As the result of a ran by depositors following the suicide of Cashier Charles Houseman, who shot himself, the East End Havings bank has been closed by Us directors and placed in the hapds of a receiver, W. H. English, who gave a bond for 840,000. The news of Houseman’s suicide caused a panic among the depositors of the bank, who are mostly residents of the east aide, and the crowd which struggled around the doers of the bank seeking to withdraw deposits became so large that the police were celled to preserve order.
