This resort bad an unusually large Influx of Sunday visitors. They came from all the large Eastern cities, and tbe boardwalk waa almost as much crowded as at Easter times. Just now It l« gratifying to note tbeexlsting harmony of thought and action along editorial Hues, mid in tbe common outlook for the com Ing seitson of 1806 there seems to be a siren effort to present tbe truth .In the favorable light and spread the view of the tune' encouraging aspect he r ore the minds of tbe inquiring punlic. Onr people have learned the lesson of natient hopeful ue»s. and now know that in one ebon tear it was not possible to raise from tbe East Cape Mar marshes 5(10 building lou and erect then-on *<>cottages. Equally tlecrp live was the wonderful figuring which pictured the fattening of the city treasury for 1003 and following years. This year, however,Cape May has something tang! ble, attractive and encouraging, as regard* the gigantic operations underway by tbe Cape May Real Estate Company. One great feat a re. and the only one already perfected and iu tme, la the extended drive and boardwjdk the entire length of tbe Gape May tract to the fatnotu yachting grounds at Sewell's Point, constituting. with tbe older drive', a continuous beach front boulevard of nearly four miles. Add to this tbe adjacent thoroughfares and the splendid highway drive.of twelve miles to tbe oonnty seat, and reason will be fonnd for the Indications that equipages from the inland dtiea will be more numeral tbe Cape the coining season than for many yearn past. One Philadelphia gentleman alone baa signified his intention to bring down his entire stable of nine horses, and haa already made bis arrange-
metita for tbrir stabling.
One of toe greatest follies ever committed at Cape May was allowing tbe "Miss log Link”, at the lower end of tbe city, to remain open to tbe encroach men U of tbe aea. Property looses by this neglect have been enormous and the great need of in rested capital at the west aide in every year more and mote evident. T. R B.
