More than $1,000,000 was guaranteed to the bank by various stockholders, and no serious run waa made on tbe bank. It la not thought that any complications with creditors of tbe bank will follow. While President Bigelow's defalcation amounts to about $1,450,000 he restored $300X100 and the direct ore subscribed $1,635,000. thus leaving the bank better off by about $400,000 than It waa before the funds were depleted by tbe peculatkms of tbe president Bigelow once waa personally rated aa a mllllonalre^sd this fortune baa been lost as vmT as tbe sun from the bank.
