Cunningham of New York has arrived here and positively identified the body of tbe young man as that of Herbert V. Croker. Mr. Cunningham waa passing through Newton on tbe way to Arirooa and, learning of Crokor’a death, stopped here to see that the body is properly taken ears of. He Herbert’s brother, Richard Crokm Jr., on his arrival from New York. Jr., was met by two detectives at tbe station, and they told him tbe particulars of his brother’s visit'to Kansas City. Mr. Croker asked if it could be possible that his brother bad been murdered, and when told that the result of tbe Investigation did . not Justify that belief he Intimated that be would take the body to New York at once and that no further ta▼eetlgation of tbe case woyld be requested. Chief of Police Hayes said: “I am confident that young Croker met with no violence or foul play In Kansas City. I think that the young man's constitution was not strong enough to stand the form of dissipation that he Indulged in there. After drinking hard he smoked opium, which proved too much for his heart."
