Hotel Keepers Protected An act of recent Legislature for the protection of keepers of hotels, boarding booses, etc., has been signed by Governor Stockes. It reads as follows: Any person who obtains any lodging, food or accommodation at any rest a rant, inn, hotel, boarding house or lodgingwlthout paying therefor, with Intent to defraud the proprietor or the manager thereof or who obtains creelt at such restnrant, inn, hotel, boarding house, or lodginghbuse by the use of any lilac pretence, or who after obtaining crfBit or accommodations at such reentrant, Inn, hotel, board, log boose, or lodging-house, absconds or surreptitiously removes his or her baggage therefrom without first paying for hts, her or their food, accommodations or lodging. Is guilty of a misdemeanor.
