Those in charge of the celebration Independence Umy are arranging i appropriate program for the occaaion. last year the day wa* not celebrated here by anr extra demonilrations 01 even la, but this aeaxin it baa been decided that there (hall be a parade and an oration in the morning and an elaborate display of fireworks in the evening, leaving the afternoon to the individual pleasures of the visitors. It is probable that the golfers will bare an Independence Day tournament and that there will be a yacht race from Kchdlengers Landing in the afternoon and there may be a reception at Yacht Clob during the progress of the races. Mayor Millet is the chair nan ol the committee .which is in charge of the preparations for the public exercises and there is no doubt but that the visitors will be pleased with such a program as thu committee shall arrange. •
