Goldenberg to be Prosecutor of Atlantic County, Governor Fort has sounded the knell of the local gambling syndicate and other forma of lawbreaking. Goldenberg refused to treet with the powerful local ring all through the flght, and had decla-ed himself in favor of clean city and county. Heads of the semi-political gambling ring have fought hard against the apoointmenl. Governor Fort sent to the Legislature Tuesday a special message milling the report of an investigation made by the Btale Board of waterway along the Atlantic coast between Barnegat Bay and Cape May. Governor Fort in his message favor* the waterway, and urges an appropriation of f 100,000 at the present sion to construct that part of the ay which would lie between Barnegat Bay and Atlantic City, distance of thirty-two miles. He also urges the passage of Senator Hand bill for the creation of a Stale waterway* Commission. The proposed waterway u to be 100 feet wide and

eight feet deep.
