CHAHGE OF MAIL AEE AN CEMENTS. W* understand that the Fust offices Department has gives orders to have the mail carried between this place and Philadel |>hia opened at Hay's Landing, on each of its trips. This is as it should be, as a matter of ponvenieoca to tffe people of this ami Atlantic coMHeE^'Jleretofore, any mail mailer sent from here to -Mar’s Landing bad to pans'by that place on the upward trip, go to Philadelphia and return in the May's Lending mail the nexl day ; and any mailer sent from Mays Landing to this county had first to go to Phildelpkia, and return, directly by the place from which it started, the next day, in the Cape May mail; thus taking, at least, four day* to send a letter from one place to other, usd get an answer. All this arose from the fact that the May's Landing msil, and the mail to Cape May were separate and distinct from each other, and, by the contract few c frying the mail to Capo May, raid mail was not required to be opened at Mays Lending. We understand that after the expiration of the present contracts two ore to be united intone, as it ought to be.
