COMPETITIVE EXAMINATION. Eighty-Jive thousand dollars of the cost of 8 to rm sewt-rs and water improvements shall be issued in long term bonds, payable in thirty years from their date, and five thousand dollars of the cost of storm sewers shall be issued in short term bonds, and payable in two years from their date, and all moneys received from the assessments of the adjacent properties for the cost of the construction of raid shall be paid into a fand and preserved intact to discharge raid short tenn sewer bonds at their maturity. Said long term bonds shall be coupon bonds and said short term bonds shall be registered bonds without coupons. ~ Secton 3. And be it further ordained and enacted that the Mayor is hereby authorized to sign raid bonds and the Clerk to attest the same, and to j affix the corporate seal of the City thereto and the City Treasurer to the same and sign the couthereto attached and the Finance Committee are hereby authorized and directed to prepare said bonds ready for execution by the officers of the City hereinabove named; and upon their execution as herein directed, to sell th • same or any part thereof J or the best Price which may be obtained therefore not 'ess than the par value thereof and upon the sale thereof or any part thereof and the payment thereof, the proceeds of such rale or rales shall be applied to defray the cost of the construction of the sewers and improvements to the water works herein referred to.
