CRABBING PARTY. Yachting and crabbing parties are i becoming quite the thing now that th« 1 season is advancing. Crabs are very I plentiful in the new harbor and seme j of the parties report catching two and three at one time. Oapt. and Mrs. Harry Bennett had as their guest Mrs. j J. C. Grady, of Philadelphia, and Mrs. William Ames of Chicago. They succeeded in landing a number of crabs. On returning to the landing the party found Mr. Charles Eldredge with his launch "jLorena"# waiting to take them around the racing course in the new harbor. Every one had a fine time and expressed themselves as finding a new pleasure in Cape May evety day they , -have been here. BOARD OF FREEHOLDERS. At the meeting of the Board of Freeholders yesterday Senator Hobert E. Hand was awarded the con'ract for ' the county road from Rio Gri.nde and Green Creek. Captain Lew Stilwell was elected County Road Supervisor, and Richard Holmes, supervisor of the road about o be bni t. Stockton and Congress Teams Held Match Monday Evening. i On Monday evening the first of a series of duck pin tournanjents was . held at the Stockton Bowling alleys. ! r The games were all very close and ' . exciting. THE CITY I COUNCIL MEETS . REGULAR MONTBLY MEETING Summer Police Elected and Jeff fiitew made Permaifcil Officer. The regular monthly meeting oi Council was held last evening. Messrs Klwell, Hand Joseph. Hand Stilwell. Moore, Shaw and Ware being present and Doak, Sayre and Townsend absent. The reading of the minutes was dis pensed with on motion of Mr. Moore.
