SAILING Y'ARTV A delightful sailing party was given last night by Charles Hand to a number or his friends. The party boarded the yacht "Metropolitan" about eight o'clock. After sailing around the racing course the yacht came to anchor in the middle of the harbor. There Miaa Elizabeth Eldredge amused the • party by a 6eries of ghost stories which were original and uuique. After singing a few appropriate songs such as "Mr. , Moon. Why Don't You Shine," and Mr. Capt. Stop the Ship," his quests were served with a nice little lunch. The party was chaperoned by Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hnghes. Those who were lucky enough to receive cards were : Miss Elizabeth Eldredge. Jeanette Hand, ' Anita Hand, Fanny Thompson, Laura Hughes, Car- 1 rie Focer, Bessie Entriken, Martha Schellenger. Flossie Ware, Octavine j Ware, Helen Moore, Marie Thompson. Mr. Ralph Schellenger. Frederick Boener. Leslie Crawford. Harry ( Needles, Dudley Moore. Samuel Marcy. I Lemuel Miller, John Weaver. ELBEtON NOTES A newly wedded couple are eqjoy ing their honeymoon' at tbe Elberon and someone bent on fun pinned a card on their room door containing this legMril: "We're just married but nobody •- knows it.". "The bridegroom noticing it, penciled under it: j i "That's so, but tbe pleasure is ours." Tbe incident is considered closed Mr. H. H. Goff. wife and daughter, have returned to tbe Elberon for the tenth season. Mr. Goff is tbe grandson of the late Judge Joseph Goff, of of Eidora, he being Judge in tbe Cape May Courts in 1840-1. Mr. Goff holds a responsible trust in tbe Chester line of steamers plying to Philadelphia. Miss Jesse is an accomplished musician and has a large circle of friends and followers. Last season there were about twenty of her acquaintances joined her for a weekfat tbe Elberon. They so thoroughly enjoyed themselves they are expected next week to repe-t their visit. Mr. Peters, lather of Mrs. Goff, is with the party. Miss May^Boyd, of Coatesville, Pa., Miss Flora and Miss Edna Hines, two inter- j estirig sisters, came with them. They] are registered from Eismere, Del. From Cranford, N.' J., comes two; bright and intelligent sisters. Miss] Charlotte and Miss Jean Watson. Professor F. 0. Mr. Jesse Bringhurst and wife are ! on their summer visits to the Elbeton.
