CAPE MAY 5 BRIDGETON 2 Again Cape May's combination won ' from a strong team before a large > crowd- Yesterday's attendance was . certainly good and shows that the interest is in no wise dying out. The Hippodrome is a club with a good record and the crowd of fans came to ' what would happen, and as the inning dragged by with one run to the good, many remarked that it ■ was slow. Inning the fourth came and went with 'the score 1 to 0. Then the : visitors woke up with a bunch of hits, : which gave them two runs. The locals took their half of the fifth and > Weinberg led off with a grass burner between short and second. Jefferson 1 came up and secured .a hit Kubn fol- 1 lowed and walked to first being bit by a pitched iball. Weinberg scored on < Smiley 's high fly to centre and while Green was dreaming about catching ' Kuhn on first Jefferson stole home. Corkran retired the side with a liy to s center. I No more runs were scored by Bridge | • ton, but Cape May took two more in the eighth, ending the game with a - score of 5 to 3. .Score.
