SOCIETY PLAY 8 BALL Yesterday morning the Brooklyn Clintons and the Stockton teems lined up on tbe Stockton lawn for an boor or two at (he national game. The game J was close and exciting and kept the large f crowd of spectators in suspense until the end of then in th inning. Smiley, the popular third baseman of : the Cape May regulars officiated as ' "ump." and stuck to his decisions despite all arguments. The Brooklyn Clintons used three pitchers but the team was handicapped bv the aheence of several of the regu- | lar players. AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING SIDEWALKS Section 1. Be it ordained and enacted by the inhabitants of the City of ■ I Cape May in City*Oouncil assembled ] and it is hereby enacted by the authorj ity of the same. That all persons own1 ing real estate in the City of Cape May fronting or bordering upon any of the following streets and public highways : i Grant street both sides from Broadway to Beach drive: Columbia averue - both sides from Decatur street to Franklin street ; Hughes street both sidet from Decatur street to Franklin strees : Ocean street both sides from Washingtion street to Beach avenue, Madison avenue both sides from Washinoton street to Lafayette street; Union . street both sides from Washington street to Lafayette street ; Sidney avenue both sides from Washington street , to Lafayette street; Mansion street both si<1es from Jackson street to Perry street: West Perry street from Railroad to Broadway ; Broadway east side from West Perry street to Creek; Broadway from Creek both 1 i sides to Beach avenue. ; Broail street 1 | from Elmira street to St. John s ' street ; Bank street from Broa-l street ' 1 to Electric Light Plant, on east 1 side : Broad street both sides from Elmira street to St. John's street; First avenue both sides from Beach 5 avenue to creek, ; Second avenue both sides from Beach avenue to creek.
