His reputation aa a dentist of unquestionable ability, in tbe foremost r ranks of his profession, and his work aa Professor of thia science in the Medio-Chirurgical College, and other colleges daring the past fifteen yean has equipped him for leadership, and won just reoognition of his ability. As a member of tbe Union League,. Philadelphia Country Club and many other minor clubs, his genial manner I has won him boats of friends, and iqaices his name synonymous with success, so that Ins co-workers in the CJape May Yacht Club feel confident that his wide influence focused in his efforts to the furtherance of all that pertains to the interests of the club, will lead to such success as will gratify the most sanguine ambitions of its members. Lucas, a popular, aa well aa prominent Cape May enthusiast either on board hia hoapitaole launch "Deborah' ' or with driver in hand on tee at Golf links, wins by hia pleasant manner and glad iand shake, many warm friends His position aa VioeOommodore is a popular choice. Mr. B. I. Gibbon, of Meteor fame, has* been an active member in the club sinoe its organization. HiB classy racing boat, tbe Meteor," winning many cups, has drawn much attention in raring circles to the Cape May Yacht Club. Mr. A. B. Miller, whose childhood home was Cape May. has many warm friends and supporters who would be glad to see him in the Oommodore rank. Tbe Yacht Club and Golf Olub are tbe leading attractions for Cape May's summer colony. Tbe diversions they offer bring enthusiastic lovers of these sports to the resort, in fact no other place on this coast offers greater facilities to golfing and yachting circles than Gape May. While the Yacht Club has been in existence but a few yean, it has a membership of about 200, and is upon an admirable financial basis, for which credit is due retiring Commodore Wilaon, and his able supporters. The future possibilities of the club are boundless and will undoubtedly expand to meet the requirements of | the wonderful new harbor now in construction and which when finished, will | make a yachting center second to none on our coast.
