FISHING CREEK. John Bate was called away to attend hia brother's funeral on Thursday laRt. Mrs. Charles Foster, of Green Creek, is visiting her brother, John Snyder, for a few days. Mrs. Samuel Roberts, of Holly Beach, spent Wednesday with Mrs. Sarah Shaw. Frank Matthews and family have moved in with his mother, Mrs. Cynthia Mathews, who is in very poor health. Mr. and Mrs. George Matthews returned home after visiting many in te resting places. Bichard Hemingway is the champion eel catcher of the season, as he caught one weighing about six pounds. On Monday evening last Mr. and Mrs. D Morell Woolson gave a party tn honor of their daughter, Mi as Sarah Foster ou the occasion ol her eighteenth birthday. There were about 70 invitations fesued moat of which were accepted. She was the recipient of man}- beautiful gifta. After playing many games and jokes on each other all were invited to the dining room where the table was prettily decorated and heavily laden with ail kinds of fruit, ice cream, cake and confectionery. At a late hour the goests — - departed wishing the hostess many more bright and happy birthdays. Mibs Flossie Halbruner took in the basket ball game at Cape May Tuesday evening. Edgar Woolson was married to Miss Grace Rosa, of Brooklyn, on Thanksgiving and on the following Thursday

They were met at Erma with a jolly sleigh bell ride. 1 Their home was decorated with all • kinds of signs Then they were ten- ' riered a r ception and received a large 1 collection of very costly presents. There were over 80 folks in all making ' it a lively crowd. After enjoying themselves they were treated to differ* ent kinds of cake and ice cream and all ! wishing them many happy years, returned home well pleased with the r evening. Mrg.
