ONLY ONE i The Record is Cape May is a Unique One ' If the reader has a "bad back" or ' any kidney ill and is looking for relief ] and cure, better depend on the only re- l medy endorsed by people you know. | Doan's Kidney Pills relieve quickly — ] cure permanently. Cape May citizens < testify to this. Here is a case of it: James Otterman, Mechanic St., West Cape May, N. J., says: "For two , years I was in the grasp of kidney com- [ plaint. I had pains in my back, espe- t dally in the morning and I experienced sharp twinges when I stooped or lifted. My back often ached at night. I tired f easily, felt languid and nervous and was c subject to headaches and dizzy spells. f Another evidence of disordered kidneys t was a too frequent desire to pas< the 6 kidney secretions. Finally I tried Doan's Kidney Pills and in a short time they relieved me. They eventually brought about a cure and it has re- 8 mained permanent. c For sale by all dealers. Price 50 cents. The Belmere is the name of a new apartment house located on the corner of Perry aAd South Lafayette streets, and when thoroughly completed will be by Mrs. Smith, whe has bad considerable experience in this business. « ft Ce John Stuart, has made all instruments and erected a wireless receiving apparatus at his home, 811 street. woe A communication signed by Pilot R. Price, of Lewes, Delaware, published in the "Delaware Pilot" condemns the harbor improvements 1 here and thinks the money should have 1 spent on the Delaware Break- ' water. The wealth of misinformation displayed is amazing. He charges the ' government with having done all of immense amount of dredging done the Cape May Real Estate Com- i whereas the government has not I done a bit uf it and justifies bis caustic ■ criticisms upon his experience of years i "with this particular locality." This 1 does not qualify him, for Hie army en- i gineers who declared the harbor pro- 1 ject entirely feasible after exhaustive j scientific investigation, have the | broader knowledge and experience j | with many other localities in this ' i country and throughout the world. | I The carious part of all the criticisms t ; islthat the critics seem to deem it , j necessary, in order to advance their , 'own projects to condemn the Cape , May development It seem to us that j it would be far more reasonable and effective, if they were to confine themselves to pushing their own localities for coveted national aid, without reference to any others. Tbair apparent desire to build their own projects upon the destruction of the ambitions of others is in the matter of ci eating 1 harbors as in most other matters, to ' seek a weak foundation for their J flatmi Mr. Price seems to overlook one lit (

tie fact He seems to be willing- to admit that the harbor will be available for the yachts of millionaires and raulti milllonair<a but to deny the necessary corollary that if fit for these St will also be fit for the vessels of commerce. or vessels offwar, or vessels of an7 other kind whatever. »• « We were surprised to see that our citizens |were not more patriotic in not having their flags raised in mem ory of the^Father of our'Country. » at « 2 The Breakwater Con struct. on Company whlcb£is building the "jetties and breakwater , at Cold Spring Inlet for the entrance to the Cape Mav Harbor, have expended 175,000 on new and imI proved equipment with which to resume work this spring and expect to ! make very rapid progress in the fu- [ ture. The rapid deepening of the i water in the entrance aB the work pro1 gresses is convincing evidence that the ! government engiueera were fully in- ! formed upon the possibilities when j they planned to ohtain a depth of from thirty to thirty-five feet in the enI trance, this . being the depth of the land-locked harbor which is now prac- - tically completed. « 9 * Seekers after cottages to rent for , the summer are d^y^^itors. All who are interested in a logical and reasonable development of the Inland Waterway, should exert themselves for its continuance from the , point near Holly Beach, at which last work was stopped. It is simply absurd co talk of building it in patches as some Atlantic City statesmen desire. The movement to secure most of the expenditure of the present appropriation at Bngantme Beach, leaving this end uncompleted calls for the active opposition of all Cape Mav County resorts. The large attendance of representatives from Cape May County resorts in Trenton at the hearing on the subject some weeks ago. gave substantial evidence of the sentiment in this county. Nor is it a matter of locality alone which interests ue. The leaving of the waterway between this city and Holly Beach in its present incomplete condition would be a loss to the state, for the channel being incomplete and without the proper circulation of water through it will deteriorate The fight should tie taken up anew and with greater vigor than ever. « « ft Rev. A. was nosed oot on , Saturday evming at ExceLior Skating • Rink, the Millville five coming under the wire winner.* in 8 neck and neck : race before a large audience. In the opening session the Cape May 5 team played in perfect harmony and had the best of the argument hi all B points. It took the hardest kind of 1 guard work by Millville to break up the ■ plays. They displayed splendid floor work, and in shooting everybody ap- ' peared to be there with the bella, mo6t of the goalB being of the sensational ' variety, Menms leading with three, and V.onzant, Benckert and McDonnell 5 one each. The half ended with Cape 8 May leading the procession 14 to 8. In the second Millville started a gooa bunch of team work and hit up an exa ceedingiy fast pace, being particularly - strong in passing. They gradually j overcome the lead and were one lap to tbq good before the local five secured a score. Cape May was playing - equally aa hard but everything seemed to break wrong. Several fumbles and failures at passing not only cut down ' their chances of tallying, but mater- . tally aided the visitors. In this half ( the basket and Cape May were > strangers, all the shots being either • erratic or of the hard luck kind. The • only goal made was batted in by Men- ' nis on a toss-up near the basket. This again put Cape May on the right side 1 of the struggle, much to the relief and delight of the crowd. Millville once more succeeded in - locating the net and entered the last stretch in the lead and for the several remaining minutes of play the visitors demonstrated that they belonged to the regulars by successfully "soldiering" on the Job, stopping Cape May's chances of scoring. The foul shooting by the locals was very being the worst exhibition given by them this season, and was a large factor in the loss of the game.
