BE IT ORDAINED AND ENACTED BY THE INHABITANTS OF THE CITY OF CAPE MAY IN CITY : COUNCIL ASSEMBLED, AND IT IS HEREBY ENACTED BY THE AUTHORITY Of THE SAME: ' S<ction 1. That when this ordinance shall have been regularly passed and I shall have taken effect, the Oity Council, or the proper Committee or Committees thereof, may, without further order, advertise for bids for the repair and rebuilding of the Boardwalk on r Beach Avenne ; the repair of and additions to City Pavilion Number One ; ' the construction of bouse sewers' on • Maryland Avenue between Madison i Avenue end Philadelphia Avenue, a distance of approximately three hundred feet; ana on New York Avenue from Reading Avenue to Madison Ave- • Due, approximately a distance of sixteen hundred and seventy-eight feet ; . and on New York Avenue from Read3 ing Avenue to Trenton Avenue, a distance of approximately six hundred and thirty feet; and on New York . And be it further ordained I and enacted tnat the said Oity Council shall, without further or other order or ; ordinance for that purpose, borrow for j said City of Cape May the sum of | Forty Thousand Dollars and issue of the City of Cape May therepursuant to the provisions of an 1 act of the Legislature of the State of I Jersey entitled, "An Act to j authorize any Oity of this State to raise ; money, either by temporary loans or ! by the issue or issues of bonds for any not exceeding fifteen per centum ; of the taxable value of the real and j personal property rated for assessment iu such city, and to use the same for purpose of retiring the floating or | matured bonded indebtedness, for the enlargement and improvement of the | public buildings, water works, sewer- \ ^ age system and for other lawful pur- 1 poses of such city." D., 1910, ! the sum of Ten Thousand Dollars. I Note due June eleventh A. D., 1910, the sum of Six Thousand Dollars. The bonds shall bear date the twen- » tieth day of April nineteen hundred 1 and ten and ahall draw interest at the rate of five per centum per annum, payable semi-annually, and aaid bonds 1 shall not be aold for less than their par or face value. And be it further ordained and enacted that upon toe completion ' of the house sewer work on Maryland ' and New York Avenues ordered under , the provisions of this ordinance, the cost thereof shall be assessed to the adjacent properties respectively to the | amount of the benefits conferred upon ' the aaid properties respectively in accordance with the provisions of tha 1 charter of the City of Oape May and ' existing laws governing such city aa ' to assessments ; said assessments ahall ! be made immediately upon toe comp|etion of auch work and become payable ' within three montha from the date of such assessments.
