There shall be used from tne proceeds of the sale of the said Bonds, for the purpose of taking up, funding and retiripg certain floating indebtedness of j ' the City of Ospe May, the sum of six 1 i teen thousand dollars, as follows, towit : I Note due May fourteenth A. And be it further ordained and enacted that the mayor is hereby authorized to sign said bond and the Clerk to attest' the same and to affix the corporate seal of tbe City thereto and the City Treasurer to countersign the same and sign the coupons thereto attached ; and the Finance Oom mittee are hereby authorised and directed to prepare said bonds ready tor execution by the officers of the City hereinabove named, and. upon their execution as herein directed, to sell the same or any part thereof for tbe best price which may be obtained therefor, not less thar. par thereof, and upon the sale thereof, or any part thereof, and the payment thereof, tbe proceeds of such sale or sales ahal be applied to defray the coat of the said sewers, the funding and retiring of the said floating indebtedness, the repair and rebuilding of the aaid Boardwalk on Beach Avenue, the repair of and addition to Pavilion Number One and tbe construction of Arches on the Boardwalk on Beach Avenue. Sec. 4. And be It further ordained and enacted that upon tbe completion of the bouse sewer work on Maryland and New York Avenuee ordered UDder tbe provisions of this ordinance, tbe cost thereof shall be assessed to tbe adjacent properties respectively to the amount of the benefits conferred upon the said properties respectively in accordance with the pro virions of tbe charter of tbe Cit* of Cape May and existing laws governing such city as assessments ; said assessments shall be made immediately upon the completion of such work and become payable within three months from the date of such assessments. Sec. 6. And be it further ordained and enacted that upon tbe iasuanoe of said bonds an amount equal to two per centum per annum shall . be paid into the sinking fund to create a sufficient fund to meet suoh long and short outstanding bonds at their maturity, and there shall be assessed annually in the aaid City of Oape May the necestaxes to pay into tbe said an. king 1 fund annually the necessary amount and also to pay the annual interest on said long and short term bonds.
