Mr. and Mrs. Charles Perkins have returned home for the summer. Mrs. W. Halley. Reeve ha6 opened her cottage for the summer. Mrs. John Schwartz and two children are spending some time with her brother, John Meyer and family. Miss Elizabeth Eldredge spent last Sunday in Philadelphia. Miss Mary Duk»s. of Tuckahoe. spent a few days with Mrs Maggie Oliver. Mrs. John Reeves is on the sick list. William Schellenger is preparing to open and occupy their bouse at Errna for the summer. George Blake, of Hamroonton, spent Sunday with his sister. Mr. Blake is a building contractor and prominent in the affairs of that large and prosperous town. Mra. Kate Donley after two weeks abeence in your city has returned borne. The schools are closed and the children running wild and not a little bothersome where they oollect in benches around the homes with large grounds. Of cour»e they've got ot romp and play and properly enjoy themselves, and a little direction and parental control will make it much leas annoying to neighbors at times. Rev. Ohas. H. Jones, D. Broadway families want to know why fisherman when they come to Columbia avenue, three out of four will shy down that 'street and leave them unserved. Bad treatment, that. The frog— germ and mosquito pond — on Columbia avenue is still undrained or unfilled, nowithstanding the Board of Health's earnest request to Council to do something to abate the nuisance. It ia a foul place and serious menace to the health of the surrounJing families. This Is of more importance apparently then extended street improvement where the public health is not concerned. .
