Starr and her assistants of the Ladies Association. The men's tournament Started at 2.30 with 38 entries. Thers ■were an unusually large number of visiting players. The first prise in the individual tournament was won by T. J. Graves, son of X. Z. Graves, who is prominently identified with every interest for the progress of Cape May. Mr. and Mrs. K. J. Unique "Squadron Race" Enjoyed Saturday's event at the Cape Slav Yacht Club was the "Squadron Race." ' It was constituted by choosing sides, ' six bouts 011 one side and six on the other, one squadron being styled the ' blue and the other the white squadron each -carrying rings accordingly. After a boat crossed the line it was privileged r to return and hasten others of its squadron by taking a line and towing them. { The boat first over the line was granted as mauv points as the number of boats remaining. For instance tlic number of boats beiug twelve the first boat over 1 ( received 11 points, the next 10 and so 1 cn.
