Tbis week will be what 1 call oar farewell week for we are coming borne after we spend another Sunday here. Last Monday we were out for a sail on the grand harbor here and afterward ! caught several fish and a great numof crabs while lying at anchor. Frank and I have enjoyed the sum- ; mer here as we never enjoyed n season We hare met the best people, .localise they are the ones teat corns Here and are the ones that make Cape May the exclusive resort that it is. We have sailed on the harbor, and been on numlaunching parties both at night and in the day time and it is splendid We both enjoyed the bail games here • this season oecausc the team lias been a very good one, composed of college boys and the best of players. The Hotel j Cape May has been a constant source qf , delight" to ns because we have enjoyed the splendid orchestra manged by My. Theodor Gordohn so much, and . besides the hotel is managed' in such u fine way jthat no one could be dissatisfied who remained here. There are several fine hotels here that » many are jnst in lore with but I am going to stand by the popular- hostelry tuat has enterained us this season. [beach parties the" young people here are y so fond of having every night in some part of the beach. r Another pastime we have indulged , ; in -and are very fond of is tennis. There 7 . are several fine courts at the Golf Club beside a large number about the town i.-nCntained by cottagers. , The Board Walk of course has • j been our favorite haunt of an , , evening when there were no dances to be attended. The city band on pa- , vilion number one was visited several < . times a week when ever we could find | r time to spare. 1 Several straw rides helpea while the 1 time away, and that is another favorite , 1 stunt of the young people. j I This it one of the greatest card party ( , towns I have ever struck. Every one j plays and the best parties of the season j were held at the Golf Club by the Ladies 1 . Association. , Above all other things here we have - enjoyed the bathing most. There can be ' no better beacli than there is here and everybody goes in nearly every day— t euch a clean cut. aristocratic throng of 1 1 bathers is hard to imagine unless you 0 , spend tbe season at Cope May. Lake 1 several times and we had two lovely pi;- s Lily at Cape May Point has "neon visit \ _ed several times and we had two lovely 0 picnics over there with the young people, j | ! There are wonderful water lilies there j r 1 and" such a-still, quiet spoony place, in | e paddle about in. J 1 I The country about here has the very I 1 best of roads and we liave motored t «nd driven over every inch of them ditr- ; iug our sojourn hen. p Tonight as I sit here living over again j e i the season so pleasantly passed I fn.ljp sadder thai I lm< 1 since Frank and i Ip useii to quarrei befo-e we became nn old ! n married eouple.
