Dukes, after a long and serious ilness, succumbed to Bright's disease, and died Saturday evening at I eleven o'clock. He was an adopted child of Tuekahoe, for he was born in Maryland. Capt. Dukes had passed his seventy-eighth year but was still an ae- ' tive man, being a Granger, a Free Mason, treasurer of the Improved Order of C — Fellows, Tuekahoe division, and the ^ president of the Tuekahoe Building and 1 Asociation. The deceased is survived by his wife and five children, Mr. S Maurice Dukes, of Philadelphia, Will * of Maryland; George Dukes, of Tuekahoe, Mrs. William Champion, of * Millville, and Mary Dukes, of Tuekahoe. But one reason why the boys had to resort to cards was because they no other names at their dispoaal.
