ERMA Hon. Robert E- Hand, we are glad to note, is now on the road to recovery. From present indications he will soon , be the same old "Bob," . greeting liis friends with the same old spirit of "Comaraderie." J., have taken a cottage here for a couple of months. Mr. Richardson will oversee the oyster interests of ex-Senator RE. Hand. Mrs. J. Bethel was the guest of her aunt dflrfng a part of last week. Mr. and Mrs. William Garretson attended the funeral of Mrs. Garretson 's mother Saturday, at Dias Creek. Dr. Jere Sayre, of Red Bank. N. J., Rev. and Mrs. J. B. Shaw of Asbury, Park, were calling on relatives during the week. Mrs. Margaret Sparks, who lifts been quite sick, is now recovering. Miss Marion Piatt has returned home after spending several days in Philadelphia, shopping. Mr. Hiram Soults and family enjoy their new Ford automobile. Mrs. Clara Lyle has come to erma to spend the summer months with Mr. and . Mrs. Lyle. Mrs. Tom Battersoll and Mrs. John Battcreoll attended the funeral a relative at Green Creek on Monday. Reuben Johnson Jr., is now at home for the summer, spending his vacation . with his parents. The railroad crossing at Erma and , the' two above Erma are all to have flagmen this summer which will undoubtedly avoid many accidents. • We are delighted to know that Mr. . Robert E. Hand has recovered from his recent illness and is now able to attend ' to business.
