STATE DEPARTMENTS' EXHIBIT AT FAIR * Forestry Commission and State Experi- A m«nt Station Representatives at Tren- C ton Exposition Thrilling Program. Trenton, N. J., Sept., 1914, both the State Forest Commission and the New Jersey Experiment Stating are prepar. ing exhibits to bring the objects of their work and its benefits more directly to ithe attention of the people. p Both are branches of the public ser- { vice and the knowledge, of the experts at their head is available for those who A wish it. Representatives of the - -partments c will be at Trenton Fair this year, from September 28 to October 3, and will give E advice and instruction to visitors. E "last year." says Alfred Oaslrill the State Forester, "the State Forest Com- c mission undertook to show at Trenton ^ Fair something of the importance of New Jersey's forest interests by an ex- I hibit. The interest awakened justifies ^ an effort to make forestry a feature ^ of succeeding Fairs. On a large plot j near the machinery field will be arranged an exhibit intended to demonstrate from year to year the more important features of forestry in 'the State." c -Throughout New Jersey there is a revival in the pig raising industry and ' the State Experiment Station is co-oper- j Hting with the officers of Tren top Fair in making this department of the ex- £ position a standard in the most ad. vanccd ideas in handling the stock. Serum to guard against hog cholera may bo obtained by writing to Prof. F. C. ( Miuklcr at the Experiment Station, New s Brunswick. The serum is absolutely | harmless. I The dairy show at Trenton Fair will j also have the special interest of the < i Experiment Station as it is to be made ( larger and will have typical cows for f inspection. Farmers and others may \ gain information there. The Poultry Department has also been rearranged this year with the assistance of the State officials. In addition to the increased educa- 1 tional value of the Fair, an extra free ' • open air program for the amusement of 1 the s|>cctators lias been arranged. This < feature will as a headliner the mono- 1 plane flights by Charles F. Miles, the 1 sky sailor who is now with the Con- " stitutionalist army in Mexico. He is the most daring member of the Moisant school of fliiTtf; and in his craft perl forms feats never thought of before. It is said "he does things a bird can't do." He falls wing over wing, he topples backward he drops through space, tie flies upside down and does other thrilling stunts. , Mile. Tardieu will give her "Whirl J » of Death." in an automobile from a | ' platform 40 feet in the air; Fred Owens 1 r will be shot from a cannon carried to j the clouds by at balloon : Ed. Geer. . "the human! comet." will do his "trip i - to the clouds" on the highest trapesc 1 f ever constructed: there will be divt jng ponies, diving dogs and seorps of ; other thrillers. One of the attractions year is to 1 r be a display of daylight fireworks* and ' m there will be puzzling water acts. 4 Monday this year is to be children's day at the exposition and Tuesday will be reserved for ladies. Special attractions will be provided for both. The Better Babv Contest has brought en. tries from distant sections and the interest aroused by the - exposition give positive indication that it will bo large and better than ever. A Baby Health exhibit will he opened for the instruction of mothers and this will be one e of the leading educational features 'of 1 the ex]»sitkm. ing bottles and other articles will he 1 shown and their cafe explained to motliSAVE THE CRABS The crabs in thi- cam- are not the two-legged variety tjiat go about shed" ' ding gloom and discontent, but rather . the toothsome shellfish for which our neighboring State of New Jersey liaa been gradually earning a deserved repIt seems that the crabs are disappear, ing. and unless remedial legislation is soon provided they will be done for altogether. Marx-laud anil Virginia long ago took the precaution of passing laws for the protection of crabs and as a consequence they now enjoy a near monopoly in the production of this kind of j shellfish. An investigation of the suh- ! jeet proves that the crabs have been taken from the waters of New Jersey, icgardless of their size and age and nat- ' ill-ally with disastrous results. In thine days when everybody is -interested in the subject of food supplies it is of importance that the crab industry should not be neglected. It ini'V sound like a mere pleasantry, but we have arrived at a stage where every little counts, and the crab, like the oyster, has bi-eome a staple article of food. The lobster industry in Maim- | has been built up bv fostering laws f nd there is no reason why the citizens of New Jersey should not do the same thing with succulent, if less aristocratic, crab. ■

The Answer is Found in the Straightforward Statement of a West Cape May Resident We have been reading week after week in the local press of Cape May Court House citizens who have been rid of distressing kidney and bladder troubles by Doan's Kidney Pills, and we have often wondered whether the same l opinion of this medicine is to be found in our neighboring towns. This frank and earnest statement by a welli known and respected resident of West , Cape May will set this doubt at rest. Michael II. Holland, 138 Learning Ave., West Cape May. N. J.. -says "For almost a year I was afflicted with kidney trouble, brought on by a heavy cold. I , had pains in the small of my back and at times was unable to sleep well, getting up in the morning tired and unrefreshed. Whenever I stooped or ! brought any strain on the muscles of my I back, sharp pains darted throughout my body and I often felt miserable. I ' was also subject to headaches and dizzy ■ spells, during which my sight blurred. Hearing of Doan's Kidney Pills, I used them and they gave me prompt relief. I continued taking them until completely ' cured. I have had no trouble since." s Price 50c, at all dealers. Don't simnly ask for a kidney remedy — get Doan'a Kidney Pills — the same that Mr. Holland had. Foster-Milbnrn Co, Props., s Buffalo, N. Y. f •
