William - Bateman is driver. 1 Little George Matliis fell - Saturday ■ and dislocated hia elbow. J)r. Douglass ' was called and set the member which was quite painful. Weakfish and red drum are biting 1 along the shore; good catches are bHng ' made. Charles Holmes of Court House, who ' had the contract to repair the new 1 school house that was burned, has fin- , ished the contract and returned home. ! Mrs. Delia Stitcs was in Philadelphia 1 week to visit her sister, Mrs. Lida j Norton, who is under special treatment. Reeves and J . Boyce are running oya. ! ters for Capt. J. Brown to Wilmington, j Del. Some of our bavmeu received quite a * scare this week by a notice sent to one of them concerning license and having ' their motor boats properly equipped for the traffic. Better secure the neqessa ry ' requirements than to pay a luavy fine which will aurely be ini|K>sed if the law is not heeded. While Zeke Kldredge was picking apples last week the ladder broke and he fell to tljo ground, bruising himself quite badly. Mra. Mary Crowly, who has kept the grocery store of Mrs. T. P. and a cement cellar which win prove a great convenience to both Mr. and Mra. Loper. Charles Marqnet, our barber, spent I the first of the week with hia family in Red Bank. SELECTING LIMA BEAN SEED r The jXrw Jersey Experiment Station has sometimes bad complaints to the effert that lima beans have been growing less productive or later Id season ] year by year. If it is true that some growers save their seed from what is left of the crop after the marketing season is over, this state of affaire is little to lie wondered at. Seed set late in the season is' apt to be poor of ger- | urination and growth because oot»l , weather and weakened plants are not likely to produce strong seed. More than this, seed saved from the last of the crop is more apt to come from late than from early jJahU. as the latter have by that time yielded their bi»t pro- i duct. Seed for sowing should be borne by the phut at the height of the season j or better still, all the seed of •clect'-I ' productive plants may be saved. Most growers reject discolored seed. | and that which is under sloe or mis- t shapen. Special care should be taken in this direction during the present sea son, because a disease that badly s|xits the pods lias done some damage in bean growing ai-ctions. -Many pods -so spotted give seeds of a pale yellow or brownish color. The Experiment Sta- , tion specialists in plant diseases say that altho this spot jnaynot wholly de. stroy the seed or. may not be transmitted thru the seed, beans so diseahed" may give weak, early growth and, if the planting seasots be cool, are more apt to rot in the ground. THE PRICE OF MODERN COMFORT Tax fates in Camden County municipalities have been published recently, . and show about the same variations as those in Cape May .County. The high, est is $2.62, the lowest $1.40. There is one at $2J>4, another at $2.53. another at $2.37 and others at $2.30 and $2.71. We call attention to them because it in- _ dieates that progressive towns on and off the seashore are paying, larger amounts of money in taxes, for the , sake of providing modern improvements, j living more comfortable and avoiding g conditions threatening to health. ; WHY WOMEN SUFFER 1 Many Cape May H- Women are Learning the Cause Women often suffer, not knowing the Backache, headache, dizziness, ner9 vouaness.
