J., Feb. 18, 1915. To the President and Members of^ City Council, Cape May City, New Jersey: Gentlemen: — (We would respectfully call your attention to the fact that one of the City's fire plugs is directly in front of the door of our building on Jackson street from which we load all of our goods for delivery to our customers. The location of the plug makes it very inconvenient for us in our business. and we would respectfully request your honorable body to have the proper officers examine into the matter and if practicable tlo have the same moved to another location. Very respectfully yours. ELDREDGE A PHILUPS, Inc. I. H. ELDREDGE, Treas. ^ Mr. Mecray reported the bond issue of $86,000 was sold to A. B. Leach and Co., of New York. OUR NEW PRINCIPLE Tt has been proven in hnndreds of instances where forcible entries were made and burglaries committed, that no loek could hitherto withstand the burglar's jimmy. All_ that was necessary was to pry the bolt a trifle away from its socket and the door was open. We have learned, however, that doors cannot be jimmied at the hinges. This is because, first, the hinge is so placed that the jimmy cannot rearh it: secondly, because it cannot be forced as the pressure goes wit it instead of against it: thirdly, because each part of the hinge is inseparable from the other. That is why the hinge principle has become the principle of the Regal Loek. Rold by Clias. A.
