h LEGAL ADVERTISING H AN ORDINANCE | CONCERNING SWINE AND PROHIBITING THE KEEPING OF THE SAME WITHIN THE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF CAPE MAY. Be it ordained by the Board of Health of the City "of Cape May, as follows, viz: Sec. 1. That the maintaining of »wine and swine pens within the corporate limits of the City of Cape May is hereby declared to be a nuisance and detrimental to the health of the residents of the said city, under the provisions of the twelfth section of an act of the Ix-gielature of the State of New Jersey, entitled "An act to establish in this state, boards of health and a bureau of vital statistics and to define their respective powers and duties," approved March thirty-first, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, and the acts supplemental thereto and amendatory thereof. Sec. 2. No swine or swine pens shall hereafter be kept in any places or enclosure located within the corporate liraits of the said City of Cape Slay; and any person or persons offending against the provisions of this ordinance, shall, upon conviction thereof before any officer of competent jurisdiction, pay a fine not exceeding twentv-five dollars, nor less than five dollars, as the officer before whom such offender or offenders are convicted shall deem reasonable and just; and the said fine shall be paid to the secretary of the Board of Health for the use of the said board. See. 3. An ordinance entitled "An ordinance regulating the maintaining of hog pens within the City of Cape May," passed February sixth, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine, be and the same is hereby repealed. See. 4. All other ordinances or parts of ordinances in eonfiiction with this ordinance be and the same are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall take effect immediately. A. L. LEACH. President.
