From Monday's Daily Star and Wave. R After the disappointment, caqged by j. the bad weather of last Sunday, yester8> day's weather made up to the devotees the surf what they missed a week ago. Neptune satisfied his malice on .s 'uly Fourth and yesterday was a fine day for bathing. The large crowds of people here, were augmented by ^ every incoming excursion train. Sunday when other amusement centres were closed, all turned towards the beach. e From eleven o'clock a.m. to three p.m. the beach, from th^.Hotel Cape May to s beyond the Pennsylvania Summer Sta- 1 tion, was a scene of activity and a riot i t of color. There were many striking ■ bathing togs. At intervals, on the sand, 1 E were parties of young men and women ] playing ball, between dips in the surf, , 10 keeP warm, while drying before tak- | r ing another plunge. A sport which promises to become popular, is a game in the water, in imitation of the polo game played by the ladies in the Swim1 ming Tournament on Saturday. The games seen along the Beach yesterday. c • had little science, but what they lacked a in this respect they made up in rollick- c ing fun and exhilarating exercise. The j kiddies certainly deserve a word of men- t tion. They {Change the smooth and level aspect of the strand, by building forts and embankments in the soft, yielding sand. YOUR CAR KNOWS THE DIFFERENCE T^ILL your tank with Standard ^ Motor Gasoline, and you notice the difference instantly in the "feel" of your engine. Standard Motor Gasoline is so much better than "just gas" that it is worth while to be particular about what goes into your tank. Cylinder carbon frequently is caused by the use of an inferior fuel. Standard Motor Gasoline vaporizes readily and burns cleanly. It is a straight-distilled product, not a mixture— the same for every drop in your tank. You can get Standard Motor Gasoline wherever you can take a car. It is absolutely uniform — the same now as next week, and it is cheaper to buy because there are more miles in a gallon. Use Polarine Oil, the Standard Oil for all motors. Friction free, carbon free. For sale wherever you see the "Standard Motor Gasoline Service Station" sign.
