DANCING AT THE RED MILL SUPERB MUSIC, GRACEFUL LADIES LARGE ATTENDANCE — MISS SARGEANT, MOST BEAUTIFUL LADY, IS WINNER OF CUP. From Monday's Daily Star and Wave. The second dancing contest at the Red Mill, on Saturday night, proved an even greater success than the first one, held the Saturday night before. The number present was larger, the gowns of the ladies more brilliant and catchy and the dancing was pronounced far superior by those who are competent to judge of such matters. Miss Alva Sergeant, than whom there is no more graceful lady in Oape May, this aeason, and Mr. George Gillette, easily carried off the honors and received the cup. The judges were Mrs. Harry W. Hart, Mrs. E. Spencer Miller, 3rd, Mrs. Henry Pease, Hutchinson Scott and Andrew Wheeler, Jr. COLONEL DU FONT'S BOAT TECH II, TO COMPETE FOR GOLD CHALLENGE CUP From Monday's Daily Star and Wave, j The Corinthian Yacht Club will be rep- I resented this year at the annual official races of the American Power Boat Amo- ' •nation, which will take placd at Lake George in August, by the Tech II, owned by Colonel Du Pont. The Tech H, is ■aid to be a powerful boat, capable of . doing 55 miles, which is going some. The races are run for the Gold Challenge Cup Which is a perpetual challenge cup. The races are held each year, at the place from which the winning boat came ths year before. If the Tech II should win at Lake George, this year, then the races would be pulled off at Cape May next FINE BRAZILIAN BLACKBERRIES. From Tuesday's Dsily Star, and Wave. James JS. Clark, of 502 West Perry, Street, has made a specialty of growing Brazilian berries. He has given attention to this matter for some years and studied all features of the business, growing, picking and preparing for the market. He now has one-fourtb of an aere of very choice berries. Cape May County's expert farm demonstrator has inspected the patch and pronounced them the finest in the state. The berrier are very Urge and sweet. Mr. dark expects to harvest 3,000 quarts this season. This patch of berries is well worth seeing and Mr. Clark U very glad to welcome visitors. BAIL BOAT RACES SATURDAY AFTERNOON. From Monday's Dsily Star and Wave. The third of the series of one-design sail boat races, being run this summer. ' by the Corinthian Yacht Oub, was pulled off last Saturday. There were five entries. Dr. Parrish, 'Miss Ethel Campbell, R. W. Starr, Jr., Miss Dorothy Hallowell and Frank Baker. Miss Ethel Campbell came in first and Frank Baker second. These races are run every Saturday afternoon for the two Campbell cups, which will be awarded the winer at the end of the season.
