FUNERAL OF MR. ELDREDGE LARGE CONCOURSE OF FRIENDS AT HOUSE. FRATERNAL ORGAN IZ A- ■ TIONS PARTICIPATE. LAID TO REST IN COLD SPRING CEMETERY From Saturday's Daily Star and Wave. One -of tlie most largely attended ( funerals ever held in Otpe May took , place yesterday afternoon. Bolton Eldredge was so well and favorably known that it was to be expected that a large crowd of friends would assemble. The ■ bouse of his brother. Samuel F. Eld-edge, ( at 814 Kearney Avenue, was thronged. The funeral was in charge of Undertaker Henry S. Rutherford. Rev. C. O. Bosserinan, pastor of the Presbyterian j Church of this city, of which church Mr. Eldredge was a member, officiated, assisted bv Dr. Biscboff, pastor of the Reaver Memorial Church of Ca|>e May Point, and Rev. McCurdy, of the Baptist Church. The service at the house was brief, consisting of Scripture, prayer and a brief address. Rev. C. 0. Bosserman conducted the opening exercises, and gave a briet talkon the life and work of the deceased. Rev. Bthchoff read the touching hymn, "O Love that will not let me go," and Rev. ^cCurdv made the closing prayer. Rev. J. L. ljindi«, a former pastor of the Old Brick Church, was also present. After the ceremonies at the house, the cortege proceeded to Cold Spring cemetery, where interment was made. Rev. BiacliofT assisted Rev. Bosserman at the grave. " The funeral was attended by a delegation of member* of Cape Island -- Lodge. No. 38. F. and A. M., who eonducted the beautiful and impressive Masonic burial ceremony at the grave. Thomas S. Stevens delivered the Wor* sliipful Master's lecture, and Chaplain "Frank Mecray offered the Masonic prayer. The flora! tributes were many j and magnilicent.
