I COMPETITION EXAMINATION FOR CADETSHIP. owing to a change in the plans of OsngretMnan Bachnrach the preliminaiy meeting of the County Superintendents of Schools for the purpose of creating an Examining Board to conduct the examination of applicants for the purpose *5 obtaining three candidates for nomination to take the examination at Annapolis in the Spring of 1916, the meeting was held at the ctfltce of the Congressman on Saturday, the 23rd. instead of Friday, the 22nd, as previously announced. The Superintendents of Schoala of the four counties comprising tha Second Congressional District were present. Congressman Bacharach addressed the gentlemen present and stated that had been called upon by the Secreof the Navy to nominate a prindlpa I and two alternate candidate# to take the examination for appointment to the Naval Academy at .Annapolis, and in trict with ambitions of going to the Naval Academy might have an opportunity to secure the honor, determined upon the course of making his nominations solely upon merit, and for that reason it was his desire that the cxamjation be conducted by the County Superj intendeiits of School# by forming them- ) selves into an Examining Board.
