FARM DEMONSTATION NOTES. Poultry demonstration work will be started this week in several parts of the county and the location of each demonstration farm will be announced in this , next week. Record blanks and poultry management calendars will be furnished >ach coo pe rotor and if necessary a duplicate record will be kept by the Farm Demonstrator. By this record if accurately kept am is proposed, the poultrrman can at £he end of the year determine ■ the cxaot profit or lc£s in the poultry business. Helpful suggestions as to the economical and proper feeding, watering, care of the houses incubation and trending of the chicks marketing of the products, etc., will be given by tue Extension Specialist in Poultry Husbandry and the office of Farm Demonstration. This demonstration will show that a profitable poultry business can be done if properly handled and that it does not necessitate the expenditure of a large ' amount of jnoney or time. The poultry plant >4houId receive just as much planning and forethought aa any other part of agriculture and should be considered a farm crop just as mush , aa corn or potatoes. It is a fact that the most of the poul- ; try and eggs that are sold to the publia are produced by the farmer from small flocks of birds and that large commercial poultry plants are of minor importance since reliable men capable of handling such a proposition are very scaroe. This office of Farm Demonstration wiU , be glad to look over any farm flock and jgive any helpful suggestions that may j be desired in order to protnote the pouli try interests in Cape May County.
