AHHUAL MEETING OF STATE FED- ] E RATION OF DISTRICT BOARDS J OF EDUCATION. On Saturday, the 27th, the annual meeting of the State Federation of District Boards of Education of New Jersey will be held at the State House, Trenton, I at 10.30 a. m. ' It would seem superfluous to say that this body has for its principal aim the good of the school system of our State for its name so implies. 1 The meeting has many important mat- ' tc-rs to" discuss, some of which -have received the attention of the several com- I mittres during the summer and reports of these committees will b- received at I 1 this meeting. These reports will have to do with subjects of such importance to the schools of our State as the "Tenure I of Service" of teachers. The law at present on our statute books does not work, out as it was intended to in practically every case where it has been put • to the test. The committed in charge of this subject have collected much data re-. 1 garding the actual working out of the 1 and this, tojfether with audi other matters as members may bring up, will be the business of the meeting. 1 Every Board of Education in the State ' is urged to see that their representative J is present to bring properly before the proper auhorities school problems from 1 the viewpoint of Boards of Education. C-operation is the big tiling to-day and . in no department of the public work is I it needed more than in our schools. THE VOCATIONAL. SCHOOL.
