We recall vary vividly, Harvey Bennett as a school boy, as a college student, and Anally as a civil engineer. He was one of the brightest of our school boys; he was awcoeMful as a college student, and he showed ability fcs an engineer. Ambitious, cheerful, optimistic, he greeted the worhi- srith a smile and won the hearts of ineh by his generosity of spirit and by his friendly attitude. The com munity sorrows with the afflicted family and extends its earnest sympathy and the Star and Wave has always felt toward Harvey as though he were of its group.' It is related that he said just before the end, "1 have given myself to the Lord, and will do his work when I have recovered." Probably his last words, according to our informant, were "The Loci Is here with me." In the face of such manifestations of the will of the Creator of all things, which we cannot always understand, we ran say only, "Thy will be done." This is how he docs it. Bret be learned the secret, after which he bought the best materials poMible. So particular is Derr that most of the fruit flavorings are made in his kitchens during their season. The result is, when you aak for strawberry ice cream you are satisfied that you have been served with what you asked for. The best of cream frozen with the purest froite. The fact Derr's have no manufacturi ing competitors here does not in the least deteriorate the quality of their , product. IN MEMORIAM. SMITH — In loving memory of my dear mother, Hattie D.
