Mrs. Clara Haynes lias returned to Cape May after passing a delightful winter in Haddon field and Washington, D. C. While in Washington Mrs. Haynes was entertained on the Mayflower. Mrs. John H. Benezet of Philadelphia has been spending several days here getting her cottage in readiness for the Mrs. L W. Cassedy spent the week end in Philadelphia in Easter shopping, also enjoyed the Sabbath with her sister, Mrs. L L. CSark, at Pitman. Mrn Chas. H. Chase, of Oaklyn, H. J., spent the week end at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. S. Bosh. Miss Edith Bush of oAdyn, N. J., spent the week end at home. Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Fleischhauer, of Cold Spring are spending a month in Camden, N. J., with their son-in-law * and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. J. F. Kimsey. ODD FELLOWS VISIT WILDWOOD On Monday evening of this week a delegation from Mayflower Lodge, L O. O. F., of this city, paid Holly Beach Lodge fil Wildwood a fraternal visit and were royally entertained by the members of Holly Beach lodge. The trip was made automobiles, those going being: Robt, C. Hughes, F. C. B. Speace, Coleman Camp, Frank Costello, Edward Germon,"Wm. Smith, W. F. Chambers, Jr., Millard Ware, David Pierson, Wm. Hand, Henry Spencer, Wm. McFaden, and Ben. Botwinick. CAPE MAY ENCAMPMENT ACTIVE Cape May Encampment No. 66. I. O. O. f., of this city, is growing in popularity and rapidly increasing its "membership. On A£ril 27th a class of abont fifteen will be initiated into the higher branch of Odd Fellowship, among them being eight candidates from Holly Beach Lodge. , P .0. S. of A. Entertainment Washington C^pip, No. ,181, Patriotic Order Sons of America, of Cape May, gave an entertainment at the Auditorium on last Tuesday evening, which was greatly enjoyed by the large drowd present. ELECTION \ CONTEST RECOUNT OF BALLOTS FOR CAPE MAY POINT COMMISSIONERS BY COUNTY BOARD OF ELECTION RESULTED IN LeNOIR AND RIGOR BEING DECLARED ELECTED. The recount of the contested election the Bjrough 0f Gape May Point, was held at Cbpe May Court House, on TuesApril 11th, before the County of Election. Az a result of the recount two ballots were rejected, which will change the personnel of the Gape Poiitt Commission officers, E. W. Washington LeNoir and Mark Rigor being declared elected, the latter replacing Charles Rutherford and Hughes, who took their office imm-diataly after the election on ToesMarch 7th. The salaries established by the former Commissioners amounted to less than | on« and a half dollars per week for the Mayor and tea than one dollar per week for the other commissioners.
