F Oape May County Public School pupils will give their fourth annual Ath- ' Jetic Carnival at the County Fair a Grounds, Cape May Court House, Saturday, May 6th. There are more entries i

The attendance has grown stead- *' ily wih each successive meet. * ' The high school sports vfill include * running, relay races, jumping, vaulting, * shot putting, for the boys and folk U dancing by teams of girls in costume. The grammar school events will in- >-■ elude running, relay racing, jumping, vaulting, kite flying for the boys, and t potato racing and baseball throwing by . the girls. The high school events and those of the grammar schools will be on sepa--ate grounds, excepting in the case of l the running and will be going on at tV ! same time under separate groups ok officers. Arrangements have been made to keep the track and grounds upon which sports are occuring free of the encroachments of the spectators. There ■ arc over two hundred entries in the boys' events, exclusive of the kite flying, so that there, is likely to be three hun- * dred or more boys and girls partici- ' paring in the sports, nearly one hundred of whom will be girls. Cape May * County was the first county in the state to inaugurate a county schools athletic meet, but there are now several ■ in which it has been made a feature.
