A DEMONSTRATION IN CANNING X In the conrt bnilding at Court House on Friday last, 19th inst., the County Council for the Promotion of Household Arts, was given a demonstration in the canning of fruits and vegetables "by Miss Anna Hauser and Miss Cooper, of the State Agricultural Experiment Station. There were goodly audiences of ladies from all parts of the county at both morning and afternoon sessions*' Oil stoves and other necessaries were supplied by the County \ ocational School and in the afternoon, the Rio Grande Home Culture Club, consisting of ten --or more giids Mire. Edna Endicott, was present to perform the wprk under the direction of the demonstrators, and they did?. this skilfully, explaining the various steps in detail. They showed clearly that they had received excellent training. Tomatoes, rhubarb, beans, corn, pineapple and other thing6 were1 canned before the audience and the ladies present showed much interest and asked pjany guestions. Vocational school students in household arts were oresent during both sessions. The county is taking much interest in the vocational movement. 9 - ■
