STATE SCHOLARSHIP EXAMINATION The twenty-seventh competitive examination for Free Scholarships in Rut- j gen College, the New Jersey State College, will be held in t£e court house building at Ospe May Court House, on Friday and Saturday, June 2d and 3d, 1918, beginning promptly at 9 a. m. and continuing until 6 p. m. each . day, and Will be conducted by the County Superintendent of Schools. Particular attention is called to the ( fact that these scholarships are open to candidates for the degree of Bachelor j of Arte (A. B-), and for the degree of Bachelor of Letters (litt. B.), as well j as for the degree of Bachelor of Science . (B. Sc.) I In 1916 the number of points required for admission to the A. B. course , will be 16 points, to the Litt. B. ( course 16 points, to the General B. Sc. course 16 points, and to the Technical B. ^ Sc. courses 16 points. On Friday, June 2d, the subjects for ( examination will be: English, A. B-, 9-11, counting as 3 ^ points, required of all candidates. United States History, English History, and Med. and Mod. History, 11-1, , either counting 1 point, optional for all candidates. Greek, A, B, C, 2-4, each year counting 1 point, required of A. B. candidates. German, A, B, C, and French, A, B, C, 2-4, each year counting 1 point, optional for Litt. B. and B. Sc. candidates. Physics and Chemistry, 4-6, either counting 1 point, one or the other required of B. Sc. candidates; both may be offered. , Botany and Zoology, 4-6, either or both counting 1 point, optional for B. Sc. candidates. On Saturday, June 3d, the subjects •will be: Algebra, 9-11, counting as 2 points, required of all canditdates. Plane Geometry, 11-1, counting as 1 •point, required of all candidates. Ancient History, 2-3, counting as 1 point, required of A. B. and Litt. B. candidates; optional for B. Sc. candidates. Solid Geometry and Plane Trigonometry, 3-6, each counting 1-2 point, sequired of Technical B. Sc. candidates. Candidates may take a part of these examinations at the end of their third High School year as preliminaries.
