Orion Reeves and Leon Eldredge of Easton, Pa., aie iome lor their summer vacation. Mr. and Mr*. George L. R. Wright are •otertaining company. Mr. and Mr*. C. C. Simington are entertaining Mr. Simington's father, of Philadelphia. Mr*. James Baker has gone to Philadelphia to live with her daughter, Mrs. Albert RueseL ' Mrs. Jennie Hall has been spending aoihetime with Miss Mary Blake. Mrs. Norman DempSey and Miss Abbie -Carpenter spent last Sunday in Philadelphia. W. H. Nichols spent over Sunday with Mrs. Mamie Pan coast in Millville. Louis Faust is spending some time in Long Island. Eldredge Dougherty is on the sick list. Mrs. Edward Hughes and son Walter, are spending some time in Philadelphia. Mrs. Ell* Eldredge and Mrs. Edgar Xee are spending a few days away. Mr. and Mrs. E. G. Dougherty spent sometime at Hatsboro, Pa., recently. Mrs. Amanda Richards of Philadelphia is visiting Mrs. Lottie Corson. Miv Mary W. Wright has returned after spending two weeks in Philadelphia. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Pierson have returned after spending a few days in Pennsgrove, Millville and Philadelphia. The Children's Day exercises at the Chapel Sabbath afternoon were very inWresting because they were kept well within the hour, the decorations being very neat and tasteful and the happy address of Mr. Simmington, Superintendent of a Sabbath School in Philadelphia of 2100 scholars and teachers, much appreciated. Mr. Qrammer, assistant superintendent made a touching and helpful prayer. The little tots did unusually well and also the summer sunshine girls reflected great credit upon the careful training of their teacher, Mrs. Willis. Indeed the entire program was very satisfactory. Mrs. Lillian Morris has returned to her home after a pleasant visit with her mother for sometime. Mr. and Mrs. John Rutherford call- . ed on Mrs. Rutherford 's niece, Mrs. Robinson on Sunday. Mr- and Mrs John Knox have returned to their home after two weeks stay w-ith their sister, Mrs. Knox not having improved is now critically ill at his home in 'Camden. Mrs. Charles Poulson has been called to the bedside of her daughter Minne in Philadelphia. Mr. and Mrs. Watson have opened their bungalow on upper Broadway for the summer. A number of our mechanics have gone north t« do carpenter work for a few weeks. Some of our ladies have taken up work h*.the canning house. Mrs! Robinson is very slow tn :m proving. Mr. and Mrs. Robinson have the sympathy of friends. Mrs. Mich'ael Holland, one of our oldest and most faithful women, highlv ri-spected by all a* a good and faithful mother for her life of toil and sacrifice for a large family of boys. Though she was a great sufferer the last two or three years, they will miss the good and kind mother that she was to them. Oapt. Charles Hand will command the Idaho for Peter Shields for the sumDr. Leslie IS whig came down from Berlin on Wednesday afternoon but made his visit on business a short 'phi, returning on Thursday.

Caut. Eton Hand Will start at the flrat call in the business of the season, taking out fishing and pleasuring parties. Mr. Hand has had much experience as a licensed captain. A very interesting meeting was held in the Chapel on Tharsday evening, ther» ( was a fairly good attendance, every f one present seemed to he deeply inter«'«terf.
