Steamboat Cape May in the Harbor Last Sunday . . boat suhs short of coal and stops in harbor over sunday— left for philadelphia monday morning— will start regular trips this week after ee-inspection and licensed. Ob Sunday morning the trolley road was swamped with passengers going to Sewell 's Point, the people -wniag to come from everywhere. Soon the crowds grew larger and kept the road busy all day long. Strangers in the city asked' the reason for the rush to the outskirts and when they knew the reason they joined the throng and went also. The commotion was caused by the new steamboet Qape may arriving in our harbor and so great ap interest has been centered on the Mew line by the local and summer people that all wanted to see the boat that will be put The Gape May is an ocean going steamship with all modern conveniences, three decks and furnished with everything of the beet. The boat arrived here from providence on her way to Philadelphia. It was nc* intended to ipake % slop here but the coal supply ran low while passing and they stopped in to get another supply to take them to Lewes when they coaled for the trip to Philadelphia " The boat now must pass "another government inspection and secure another government license because of the fact that it is is a new district.
