position a* United Slate. Senator, fa the | opinion of Franklin W. Fort, . wellknown lawyer of Newark, who also is a aon of former governor John Franklin Fort. In discussing the United State. Senatorial situation recently, Mr. Fort said: "Former Senator Krelingjpyseo has had some excellent legislative training in the State Senate, and he is the logical candidate for the nomination. This is the day of the young man in politics, and I believe the young Republicans throughout the State will rally to the standard of Senator FreIftjghuysen. He ha. not been mixed up in any of the differences of opinion in the Republican party, yid he fa a man of strong convictions. arT excellent recard, splendid personality, and I conrider him an ideal candidate." Asked what be thought about Essex County, Mr. Fort said: "There fa plenty of sentiment in Essex County for Senator Frelinghuysen, and it fa growing rapidly. He fa the type of man that appeals to the Republicans who like men of the character of the Presidential nominee. Justice Hughes, and I am confident that Frelinghuysen will make many friends in Essex County apd receive splendid support at the primaries. He fa acceptable to the Republicans with Progressive principles, and at the same time the 'old line' Re- . publicans find in him a candidate they can support." The organization |Of the "Frelinghuysen League pf Essex County" is planned. and it is expected that the enrollment of members will be begun actively in the near future. Sufficient interest has already been displayed, by Republicans in all parts of, Essex County to indicate that it will not take long to organize a league that will do some effective work in behalf of Senator Frelinghuysen. Frelinghuysen Leagues will be started in other counties, also. Reports from many of tHe couties in SoutfnfFTsey indicates that the trend of sentiment for Frelinghuysen is growing rapidly, and he is receiving many promises of support from prominent Republicans in many of the counties of that part of the State. The Senator has recently been down in Atlantic, Cumberland and Cape May counties, and everywhere he met with enthusiastic receptions, and his campaign received fresh impetus as a result of his trip through " these counties. • In the northern part of the State the Republican voters are beginning to wake up to the fact that thqrc are many reasons why they should support ' the fonper Senator for the Republican nomination for State Senator, and re- ! ports from the different counties show j ia gratifying improvement in conditions.] I Everywhere there is a greater interest manifested in the Senator'' candidacy,! and it is conceded that the sentiment j I in his behalf is growing stronger daily, with the eeruinty that he will have a good vote in many of the counties, par- j Mticnlarly in the farmins sections because '■ j«f his nopularitv with the farmers and j , TEN COMMANDMENTS FOR MOTHERS Nature V own it. days may bb j 2.
