They are Austen Colgate of Or- i 'ange, Walter >1 Edge, of Atlantic City, and George L. Record of Jersev There will be no debate or "heckling" but each candidate will be expected to . give his views as to the duties of the office he seeks. The League will not endorse any candidate for Governor or United States Senator, but aims to ' nerve the Republican party by bringing out the voters to take an active interest in the campaign. The letter of invitation to the candidates follows "At the recent meeting of the Home ' Rule Republican League of Essex Coon- 1 ty, the following resolution was unan- ' imously adopted: "That the three candidate-.- for the ' Republican nomination for Governor be ' invited to address the League at a meeting to be arranged by the Executive Committee and to state their views on ' the issues before the people of New Jersey in this state campaign.'
