J.. was opened for the -entertainment of children on the 6th day of July, under the supervision of Mrs. Harry Bennett Of Cape May. N. J., who took entire Charge of the children after their During the past season it was our desire to entertain at least 100 boys and (iris of the Tenderloin of Philadelphia for at least one week. During August It was necessary for us to discontinue sending other children to the Home on account of the recent epidemic of infantile paralysis, a strict quarantine being placed on the boys and girls enter.ng Cape May. which would have Interfered, greatly With the children having a good time. Our future plans are now being completed for the summer of 1917 when It , Is hoped that we can entertain at least 100 boys and girls. Every one of these , children who make application Is carefully Investigated, each child being visited at their home by some one personally Interested In the Home, those living In rooms and up alleys being given the flrst preference. , It la with pleasure that we can report , 02 children and 2 mothers spent a week ; fct the home. 7 other adults also were entertained for the same length of time, j After reading our report for 1916 we J trust that you will remember us In our < future plans and enable us to help more ; of these poor boys and girls. i STUART CLAGHOP.N. < We beg to submit the following re- ' port for the season 1916: RECEIPTS * 1 Horatio E. ® The English Setter Club of America, D in December last, purchased ten dozen a Mexican Bob White Quail which was ) placed in charge, of Charles I. Wooster, ' Esquire, an attorney at law. of Camj den, who cared for them at his Berlin > home-, these birds were liberated near ) Medford, New Jersey, in April. Mr. 1 Wooster has had considerable experience I in keeping quail and they were in fine ) -ondition when liberated. So much has been said and written concerning the 1 Mexican Quail that Mr. Wooster and . our Club w'ant to acquire as much data as possible concerning the habits and ; Health of these birds, particularly as to whether they breed here or migrate. A 1 band was placed on the leg of each bird | with "C. I. W.t 1916" stamped on it. We ask any person killing or seeing i these birds to write fully to Mr. Wooster, Temple Building, Camden, New Jersey. These birds are smaller than our native quail and of somewhat different color and markings and can be readily distinguised. Camden, October 27, 1916.
