CHURCH OF THE ADVENT In compliance with instructions received from the Bishop of New Jersey, an election of officers for the ensuing year was held on Monday morning at the Church of the Advent. Tlic Venerable Archdeacon Shcperd came from Trenton to preside. At the instance of the Bishop, he proposed the following ticket which wasl unanimously adopted : Warden, Mr. D. Clapham. Treasurer, Mrs. A. Woou. Secretary, Mr. Harry Balm. In addition to the above, the Bishop of New Jersey will nominate trustees, in whom any property of the Church be vested. - After the election of the officers, a resolution was proposed by Andrew Wheeler, seconded by Mr. Clapbam, expressing the appreciation of tiio-e ? ent of tne good work done during the past year under the Rev. J*aul Sturtevant Howe. A special tribute was pain to the same effect by the colored member- of j the congregation. | The archdeacon closed the m»-tuig. with a prayer, after which thA doxology was sung.
