Mins LLOYD ARRIVE® FROM FRANCE with the Pennsylvania Unit No. of the Nurses Corps, and who has seen active service in France for the st two years has returned to the States, having arrived on last Friday at New York. M Loyd can tell of . some . of the awfuiness of the Hun War. as she has had many experiences, ceaping death only by a hair‘s her way ship with over 2000 passengers was sighted by a German submarine and all hands were summoned to the life boats at about 2o‘clock in the morning. The Germans fired two shots, one passing through the bow, the other through the propeliors of the ship. thus disabling the vessel. Fortunately no one was lost, for in leas than nine minutes after the alarm was sounded all were out of their staterooms and iting in the life boats. Miss Lioyd is the proud owner of three stripes and also one gold star for her part in the war. She will spend Easter at home and undoubtedly she will relate many thrilling experiences to her many reatives and friends.
