Mrs Hannah Chester left on Wed 25th RECIMENT, NEW JERSEY VOLUNTEERS The surviving members of the 25th Regiment of New Jersey Volunteers met in the Commercial Hotel, Bridgeton, New Jersey on Saturday December 13th to celebrate the Fiftyseventh anniversary of the Battle of Fredericksburg, in which the 25th Regiment took prominent part and lost many men. Abbott‘s history of the Civil War, Vol. 2, page 175, says the Irish Brigade under General | Meager which went into action on | Saturday one thousand, two hundred. strong, mustered on Sunday | morning only two hundred and eight men. The 15th Regiment reached a point nearer the stone wall, which was to be taken to dislodge the Confederates from their stronghold than was reached by any other troops. Colonel Stevens in his official report of the battle rays "the powder from their musketry: burned in our faces and the breath of their artillery was hot on our cheeks." The 25th New Jersey Regiment was mustered in Beverly, New Jersey on September 26, 1862. Just two months and seventeen days from that date the men were in the hottest part of the battle of Fredericksburg. MONDAY, prcennen 28, 1919 the hours of twelve o‘clock and five c‘clock p. m., to-wit, at two o‘clock in the afternoon of said day, at the City Hall, corner of Washing» All the right, title and interest of Eulalia Vance Lewis in and to All that certain‘lot of land and premises, situ ° ate in the City of Cape May, county of Cape May and State of New Jersey, and lying on the southeast side of Lafayette street, ad joining lands (late) of Isaish Wilson, formerly 8. Shorter Hawkins, Thom.ss D. Clark and Alexander Stidham und fel liming and bounded as follows, to y ee at a comer of Isaiah Wilson‘s lot in the old side line of Lafayette Street on the southeasterly side, the said corner being now out in the sidewalk six feet from fence; and running from thence along said Wilson‘s line at right angles with the street south forty-cight degrees and fifteen minutes east, ninety-nine feet to a corner in said Clark‘s line; thence Pie s a two degrees west fifty feet to a corner; thence binding on land of raid Alexander Stidham north fortyeight degrees and fifteen minutes west ninety-nine feet to the side of said Lafayette Street; and from thence along the side of said street north forty-one degrees and thirty minutes east (old course) fifty feeu to the place of beginning, containing four thousand . nine hundred and . fifty square feet, be the same move or less. BEING the same premises which Robert E.
