CAPEMAYLOSES CLOSE GAME NOSED OUT IN EXTRA PERIOD BY ST. PATRICK'S C. C. The American Basket, Ball Team lost to the St. Patrick's Catholic Club ft Philadelphia in the best game of the season on last Saturday evening by the score of 28-26. The game was nip and tuck throughout, neither side being more than two points ahead at any time, each team forging ahead of the other; at half time the score stood 12-10, with St- Patrick's in the lead. The second half was just as exciting as the first as at the end the score stood 25 all, which necessitated an extra period of five minutes. Shields broke the tie with a foul and things looked pretty prosperous for Cape May with one minute to go when Nolan registered a foul, making the , score even again. Cape May called time and got their heads together but to no avail, and with thirty seconds left to play it certainly looked like another extra five minutes. On the toss up under the visitors basket, Nolan! who starred for SiPatrick's, received a short pass and with a one handed stab won the game and all the glory. Captain Little, the flashy little guard, as usual starred for the home team with three field goals and three points from the fifteen foot mark. The score is as follows: Cape May F. F. G. Pts Shields, forward 2 16 Camp, forward 0 4 4 Lemmon, center 13 5 Little, guard 3 3 9 O'Shaughnessy, guard- 0 3 3 Totals — Z7 6 14 26 St Patrick's C. C. F. F. G.
