Dimon ami daughter of Robert E. and Ann Watkin Thorton, all members of. old Philadelphia families, identified with affairs in tkf old sec- , -tion of that city for many generations. Coming to this city with a life-long friend, the Rev. Arthur Hess, of the Church of the Advent, she assisted in establishing the rectory for him and , greatly assisted In his successful ministry. Endeared to Cape May and many dear friends she continued to reside here after Mr. Hess' death.
