' This is indeed commendable, though very late for the reason that all Gape May county highways must look their best in the early spring during qll renting season. When vacationists are looking for desirable locations- During one at the Ml tides the beach drive was party covered with sand and has been allowed to remain on the highwav during the winter and •"ring months, much to the detriment of some of the finest properties on the beach front It might be timely to call attention to the "eneral condition of the beach front in East Cape which continues to cut away each year- While it is time that ' most of the damage is being done to "government property there is still considerable destruction to the beach below Pittsburgh avenue and some remedy should be created at once to check the approaching catastrophe. Civil engineers claim that rows of piling driven closely -together from the high water line to the low water line would cause the beach to "make out." It would not cost a large amount to give the piling a try-out and it, might prove very successful. .
