T POINT The article in last week's issue of the Star and Wave relative te the dumping of refuse on the beach, near the Seaside House, was not intended to cast any reflection on the home. The article in question was placed in the paper with the hope that in j this way the management might take ' j the matter up with the officials of j Lower township and as the Board of Managers meet this week, they would : ask for immediate action before the ' opening of the seasonNo adverse criticism of the home ■ was even thought of and your corres- 1 pondent regrets that it was so word- j ed as to give rise to such a feeling, ' as very naturally the home was not ' at fault--The home is now being put in or- ' der for its influx of summer visitorsThe new bungalows in the grove are 1 being completed and are being occu- j pied at once. The old pavilion in the ■ grove has been torn down and the 1 material used for building purposes. This Is about the last link in connee- j tion with the old Sea Grove Camp ' Meeting. Many a service took place • under its spacious roof and many a worshipper knelt in the old grove and c sang God's praises' there and there is ' j a sort of reverent atmosphere about I the place. I There probably are those living J j who attended those services and who ' could say with the poet: H Backward, turn backward, 0, time, in thy flight. Make me a child again Just for tonight. The Wednesday afternoon club met'' last week at Mrs. Morey's and the , * I previous week at the home of Mrs. j' I John Hanley- A good attendance atts each meeting and an enjoyable time . * was spent by all. The Rev. Frank Sheppard, who for n so many years faithfully filled the j •" - pulpit of the chapel, was the speaker j' on Thursday last- He was warmh- j ' j welcomed by his friends there, who ; J i hope to have him -with them later on ! ' The Haddock Memorial is receiving P ! a coat of paint, which is a great im ; j proveinent. I Miss Mary Lyons was a week end | 1 ' visitor. She is leaving on an extend- ir •ed trip returning the last of Augu.-t f *" ** b &cle -Jc ties ubsfti
